Are you Losing Money from Bad Checks???
Why Send Your Bad Check Accounts To Us
The law is on your side...

There is no debate in a court of law if a bad check was written.
There are either funds in the account or there are not. The account is either open or closed.
If collecting a bad check means going to court to collect it, you are actually going to make more money
than the face value of the check even after you pay us our commission.
How much is that Bad Check worth?

You receive a returned check.
During the first 7 business days we will ask for a $25 service fee.
During the 8th through the 30th business day we will up the service fee to $35.
After 31 business days, if the debtor has not paid, the check can be taken to court. The law allows for the initial face value of the check; plus 2 times the check or $100 in damages, whichever is greater, in this case it’s $100, PLUS $250 in cost.

What Will It Cost You?
We are taking bad checks in for collection at a flat rate. We keep the service charge of either $25 or $35. We remit to you the ENTIRE FACE VALUE of the check.
If Legal Action is needed we then charge a rate of 50% of what is collected. In either of the previous examples you are still receiving more then the face value of the check.
Give us a try with your next bad check. There is no cost to you unless we collect.
What The Law Says About Bad Checks
In January 2000 the State of Michigan passed an amendment to MCL 600.2952. This amendment allows for a processing/service fee to be permitted when a person writes a bad check. Prior to this amendment, we could not require a debtor to pay the service fees on a bad check.
This amendment also did away with the $500 cap on additional charges that can be added to a debt originating from a bad check. This is important because it opens the door for larger damages to be requested for bad checks. Those damages are now the amount of the check, plus 2 times the amount of the check or $100, whichever is greater, plus costs of $250.
